A Word from the Creative Director

Hey guys. I know you're all anticipating the impending takeover of this blog by my new master, Orlok 😉, but I just wanted to leave a few words for those who have been following my progress over the last year or two (no idea what I'm talking about? Go back and read it. Maybe start here: ArtStation - Mike Gagnon - Trumpocalypse Now finds a new home at Markosia Publishing  )

Anyway, the last couple months have been a whirlwind. I know, I know, "How are you busy under lock down?" I'll tell you folks. ADHD. A strange combination with my anxiety, but I make it work. Since, like many other people, I find my work hours reduced and mostly stuck in the house, I've kept myself busy making all the art and creative ideas that had been pent up in my brain for decades because I was too busy working for other people.

You may have noticed that I've taken the plunge on the long-time goal of turning my self-publishing label into a Not-for-Profit Publisher, in an effort to use my skills to make the world a better place and help others, especially during this pandemic that has affected the lives of pretty much everyone on Earth.

It's taken a lot of thought and planning, and I can't help but feel like it's not only the culmination of everything I've done for the last couple of years, but something I've been working towards my whole life, before I even knew what it was.

This might be my reason for being on Earth, which gives me all kinds of contradictory ideas and questions that I never thought I'd be asking myself, but that's not what this is about. In fact, I'll be taking a much less public back seat as the other members of the board of directors take on their roles. (Really folks, I've been so busy it may have cured my ADHD, cuz I'm actually looking forward to a break.)

Over the last few months I have been deep into this. Ideas changed, grew, evolved, changed and tough decisions needed to be made. They still are.

Not too long ago, if you had told me that I would spend months burning myself out, producing multiple books, donating my time and skill as well as my savings for start-up capital, for a business that I ultimately don't have control over, I might not have believed you. Now though, I am so glad to be here. Especially after starting by doing all the heavy lifting myself, I can't wait to introduce you to the rest of the board of directors. I welcome their skilled knowledge and time to help make this a worthwhile venture.

Since this is as close to a grass roots movement as you can get, I'm also donating my blog space and website to the company. I hope to see a time where All Day Breakfast's needs outgrow that, but am here as long as my support is needed.

The finalized board will be announced on March 1st, 2021.

In the meantime, our first few benefit books are available on the shopping links of this page. All of the publisher's share of profits will be donated to regional food banks. This is new, so the amount and frequency that we will disperse the donations will depend on response from the public and support by way of purchasing. It will likely be a pool dispersed every 3-6 months, adjusted as needed based on public support.

I know I am here to happily donate my skills and time and leave the decision making to the rest of the board.

I know there a few out there who regularly like, comment or message, so I just thought I'd explain all of the drastic changes over the last couple weeks. I'm still going to be around here, but in the background. If you want to keep following all of my work and concept art, you can now do that at

There or here, I hope to see you soon and look forward to all of us working together to help take care of people through this pandemic and beyond.

Thank you for being here for this weird journey,
